The Albanese Government is continuing to work directly with young people on policies and programs that matter to them.

Today, Minister for Youth Dr Anne Aly appointed young people from across Australia to the Government’s 2025 Youth Advisory Groups.

The Groups will work across a range of topics including civic engagement, climate change, creative industries, employment, First Nations engagement, the prevention of gender-based violence and water policy.

Aged 16 to 25, the Advisory Group members were selected from applications from young people across Australia, each bring different unique perspectives due to their personal lived experience.

The members represent the breadth of diversity among Australia’s young people and their experiences.

This includes First Nations young people, members from culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds, members with experience of mental ill-health, young people living in regional, rural and remote Australia, young migrants, gender diverse members, young parents, members with experience of being a carer, members from LGBTIQA+ communities and members with disabilities.
