The Minister for Early Childhood Education and Minister for Youth supports the Minister for Education on matters relating to early childhood education (ECEC) and youth. This includes delivering reforms that build a universal ECEC system, including supporting:  

• The Government’s Building Early Education Fund
• Quality and safety measures for the ECEC sector
• Measures that support and grow the ECEC workforce
• Funding and reforms to the preschool sector through engagement with states and territories
• Oversight of activities and engagement delivered through the Office for Youth.
